• Question: can you describe a time when you used your engineering knowledge to solve a problem for which there appeared to be no answer?

      Oh, that makes me think hard. There have been a few times where I’ve been amazed at what we have managed to achieve with the equipment we have available. The only example I can think right now of was many years ago when the animator on the game I was working on wanted a particular effect, and I’d told her several times it was impossible. Turns out she was more stubborn than me, and the 3rd time she asked after a few weeks, I have a brainwave and managed to get it working.
