Question: Do you always put in 100% effort

answered on 13 Mar 2015:
It depends on a lot of things. I find it hard to give 100% for stuff that I don’t enjoy doing 😉

There will always be some days/weeks/months that are harder than others. I’ve just finished a long project, and in the last few weeks we were working very hard, quite long hours. We can’t work like that all the time, so right now it’s much quieter and I’ve got time to do things like I’m an Engineer – which is fun for me in a very different way.
I like my team to be working about 90-95% most of the time, so they can keep going for a long time and are fresh enough to think of the solutions that are not obvious.
You can’t sprint all the time.
