Lots… I check mail/facebook at 6:50 in the morning, then I’m connected pretty much all day until I crash a the end of the day. Some is for fun, some work. Even when I’m out cycling, I’m connected via gps tracking to the internet.
It’s become so much part of life, but 10 years back the idea that you could live your life fully connected, and carry something in your pocket that could access everything mankind knows – and play videos of cats – would have seemed mad.
I’d love to know what ideas that are crazy now will seem common place when you are older.

      Far too much!

The ability for my work email to go straight to my phone means I’m contactable almost all the time – which has both good and bad sides!

On a more social note I am connected to twitter and Facebook throughout the day, and use apps like Strava when out on my bike.

I’m pretty much connected to the internet 24/7!

      Too much…

Mainly I use it for emails rather than surfing, but there is some really useful stuff out there

I don’t think I’d get half as much done without the internet – I say half as its a great way to read the latest research in my field but also a perfect time sink for me to lose a good proportion of my day to! I can’t imagine doing research from printed copies of journals and making photocopies whenever I found something interesting…
