Hi – while there are always some exceptions to the rules, I’d say an engineering degree, which you’d need maths, probably physics, and perhaps chemistry, more maths, or something else that would help.
I had maths, more maths, physics – but things change since I was a student.

After you get a degree, you could do another degree, doctorate, or start work. You might choose to become a member of professional body – like the Institute of Electrical Engineers – which could lead to being a “Chartered Engineer”.

      +1 for Rik’s answer.

I took a long route through degree and postgraduate study (PhD) and am hoping to go for chartered engineer status over the summer.
