      Hi,

I’m not sure I ever “decided” to be an engineer – it just sort of happened. When I was small I loved making models of things that moved, and then when home computers became available (I’m quiet old …) I managed to save up for one and start learning programming – after that I didn’t look back.

I attended a ‘taster’ engineering course at Imperial college while studying A-levels. The best career decision I ever made!

I’ve always liked taking stuff apart and seeing how it works – when I was a kid all my toys would end up in bits with me trying to “improve” them. I think really I became an engineer so I’d have a fighting chance of being able to put it all back together again!

      😉
